Ajman Bank PJSC reported a net profit of AED 246.4 million for the first half of 2026, representing a marginal increase compared to the AED 245.1 million recorded during the same period in 2025.
Total operating income rose by 17.1% year-on-year to AED 880.2 million, primarily driven by a 19.4% growth in income from Islamic financing and investing assets, which reached AED 638.7 million.
The bank’s profitability was supported by a AED 35.5 million reversal of impairment on non-financial assets and AED 8.8 million in expected credit loss write-backs, which helped offset a 55.6% surge in general and administrative expenses to AED 70.7 million.
Total comprehensive income for the period declined to AED 192.1 million from AED 301.4 million in the prior year, largely due to a AED 70 million fair value loss on Sukuk investment securities compared to a gain in the previous period.
