Spinneys 1961 Holding PLC agreed to acquire an additional 20% stake in its Saudi Arabian subsidiary, Al-Ma’kulat al-Fakhirah for Food Products, from Al Hokair Holding Group for SAR 18 million.
The transaction will increase the Company’s total shareholding in the Saudi subsidiary from 50% to 70% upon completion.
Spinneys already manages the Saudi operations and fully consolidates them into its financial statements; the acquisition aligns its economic interest with this existing management control.
Completion of the acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals, including from the Saudi General Authority for Competition.
