Emirates NBD Egypt S.A.E. entered definitive agreements to acquire the retail banking business of HSBC Bank Egypt S.A.E.
The transaction includes HSBC Egypt’s retail banking portfolio, branch and ATM network, customer base, and relevant employee base.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions as part of Emirates NBD’s regional growth strategy in Egypt.
As of June 30, 2026, Emirates NBD Egypt reported total assets of approximately US$ 5 billion.
