Mashreqbank reported a net profit of AED 4.05 billion for the six-month period ending June 30, 2026, a 16.6% increase compared to AED 3.47 billion recorded during the same period in 2025.
Operating income grew to AED 6.83 billion from AED 6.19 billion year-on-year, driven by a 6.7% rise in net interest income and income from Islamic products, which reached AED 4.22 billion.
The bottom line was significantly supported by a net impairment reversal of AED 122 million, a sharp improvement from the AED 245 million impairment charge taken in H1 2025, helping to mitigate a 14.9% increase in general and administrative expenses.
Total assets expanded to AED 365.7 billion as of June 30, 2026, compared to AED 334.6 billion at the end of 2025, fueled by a 12.3% growth in customer deposits to AED 200.8 billion and the issuance of AED 1.84 billion in new Tier 1 capital notes.
