Etihad Energy Holding PJSC announced that its subsidiary, BPGIC, has commenced the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for a refinery development project in Fujairah to produce Euro 5-compliant gasoline.
The project is designed with an indicative processing capacity of 15,000 barrels per day, focusing on converting naphtha into high-value products for regional and international markets.
Preliminary capital expenditure (CAPEX) for the refinery is estimated to range between USD 300 million and USD 350 million, pending final figures upon completion of relevant studies.
The engineering design phase is being conducted in cooperation with PEG (Italy) and Honeywell UOP (USA).
